The title for this site, “Recipes for Longeivity”, is inspired by the work of historical doctor Sun Simiao (581-682) who wrote an encyclopedia for clinical practice. clinical guide. He was a Daoist adept of life-prolonging practices known as “cultivating life” (yang sheng 養生), and served as an advisor to the first Tang emperor.
This blog explores the pattern-oriented approach that looks for clues in cycles, rhythm and flow to understand how we got here and where we are headed.
(thanks to Sabine Wilms for her inspirational teaching and translations of Sun Simiao’s work)
