The title for this site, “Recipes for Longeivity”, is inspired by the work of historical doctor Sun Simiao (581-682) who wrote an encyclopedia for clinical practice.   clinical guide.  He was a Daoist adept of life-prolonging practices known as “cultivating life” (yang sheng 養生), and served as an advisor to the first Tang emperor.

This blog explores the pattern-oriented approach that looks for clues in cycles, rhythm and flow to understand how we got here and  where we are headed.
